Happy Chinese New Year! After school today the girls and I made fortune cookies (even though I am pretty sure they are an American invention). It was fun. Gabrielle made all the fortunes. They turned out pretty good, for a first attempt. We had chinese stir fry and egg rolls for dinner, too.
This year is the year of the ox. President Obama, who has pledged to begin rehabilitating the economy, was born in an ox year. Those born in this year achieve through hard work and routine.
My favorite fortune was "The road to knowledge begins with the turn of the page."
